Allergy Aid is a combination of herbs that work to balance the upper respiratory system when allergy symptoms are present. Allergy symptoms may be chronic or seasonal, and may include sneezing, sinus congestion and swelling, post-nasal drip, and tearing or irritation of the eyes. Sinus allergies, or hay fever, are generally an indication that the body’s immune reactions need to be modulated and the liver needs to be strengthened. Western medicine offers antihistamines to counteract the symptoms of allergies. These synthetic drugs are effective for temporary symptom relief, but can cause jitters and uncomfortable dryness in the sinuses. Allergy Aid offers a gentle herbal alternative without irritating side effects.

The Allergy Aid formula builds the body’s resistance to pollen, dander, pollution, and other common allergens through the use of gentle but effective antihistamines, which include Ginkgo, Nettles, Ambrosia and Eyebright. In holistic medicine, allergies relate to liver irritation. A number of studies have shown that milk thistle has a protective effect on liver cells. Echinacea modulates the immune system and helps to fight bacterial sinusitis infection caused by chronic allergies. Nettles act as an effective astringent to swollen, inflamed sinuses. Khella is included for its important role as a non-stimulating bronchial dilator and antispasmodic.

Best results are obtained by using this formula before seasonal allergies begin or before contact with a known allergen is experienced. For example, if allergies occur in the Spring, begin taking Allergy Aid in February. Continue taking the formula throughout the allergy season. The formula may be taken year round if necessary. With continued use, most allergies will decrease and eventually cease completely.

Note: This formula was not developed specifically for food allergies. These must be addressed by restoring balance to the digestive system.
