Private Consultations

Valerie Blankenship has over 22 years experience in the herbal field as a clinician, formulator, medicine maker and educator. She holds three certifications from Wild Rose College, David Hoffmann’s Therapeutic Herbalism program and The School of Natural Healing. She is Board Certified through The American Association of Drugless Practitioners. She attends topical herbal intensives yearly through The American Herbalists Guild and Naturopathic Colleges and is a member in good standing of the American Herbalist’s Guild. This year she completed an intensive training program of integrative cancer treatment with the the renowned and highly respected clinician Donald Yance, through his ECLECTIC TRIPHASIC™ MEDICAL SYSTEM (ETMS).

Ms. Blankenship offers private herbal consultations in her office or by phone. Consults are available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays at her office in Colorado Springs at 108 E. Cheyenne Road and on Thursdays in Woodland Park (call for directions). Long Distance phone consultations are available as well. Cost of the initial consultation is $110. Initial appointments generally run 90 minutes. Follow-ups typically take around 45 minutes and are $45. We also offer a “mini” consultation, which is appropriate when a client is suffering from one relatively simple issue, such as a spider bite, candida, asthma, etc. This consult is $60 and runs up to 45 minutes.

Our Holistic Health Plans have changed. We now offer 2 plans, an Unlimited and a Limited Holistic Health Program. The Unlimited program is an excellent value for those on a budget who need followup care. A deposit of $175 is paid at the time of the initial 90 minute appointment, followed by $25 per month for 10 months. Consultations are unlimited within the 12 month period. The Limited Holistic Health Plan covers an initial intake and 6 followups. The deposit is $150 and monthly payments are $25 for 8 months. Please inquire for details.

A tongue analysis reveals many health conditions and is a feature of each consultation.

What to expect during the consultation: After reviewing your detailed intake form, Valerie conducts a thorough interview with you to uncover health history and lifestyle details. She will chart your tongue, nail and facial features related to your health. She also gathers information to assess all bodily systems for excesses and deficiencies. She will then design specialized formulations and make recommendations for supplements and dietary changes.

Preparing your formulas: Sage Woman Herbs & Clinic offers an on-site herbal pharmacy containing over 300 herbal tinctures and bulk herbs. All special tincture, capsule or tea blends designed for you will be prepared on site, usually the same day.
