The attribute that makes this tea an unusual variety when compared to Red Rooibos tea, is that it is completely unfermented, it contains a slightly herbal aftertaste, and brews light in color which makes it a perfect companion to those that feel regular Rooibos is too sweet. Green Rooibos is a hearty tea and once brewed it produces a soft golden color with an amber hue, and warm scent. This tea is considerably higher in anti-oxidants, trace minerals, and nutrients, when compared to traditional Rooibos, which helps to explain its explosive popularity with those of us who are health conscious.
Contains: Rooibos ( Aspalathus linearis )
To prepare: Place 2 tsp. of tea in cup, cover with almost boiling water and let steep for 5 minutes. Strain and enjoy hot. Or place 3 heaping tablespoons in a pitcher, cover with almost boiling water. Steep 5 minutes. Serve iced (our favorite method).
