This tincture of Chinese Cat's Claw (Uncaria species) twigs and thorns is made using dried twigs and thorns.
Chinese Pinyin name: Gou-Teng
Primary Chinese Properties: Sweet, Cool
What is Chinese Cat’s Claw:
The genera, Uncaria, describes the hook or claw like thorn that grows on the plant. However, it is important to note that Chinese Cat's Claw should not to be confused with Uncaria tomentosa, as they are different plants with different benefits.
SUGGESTED USE: 60 drops, twice a day in juice or water.
Suggested doses are given in drops. However, for easy dosing, you may want to use the guidelines below:
Droppers: If a dropper were immersed in a tincture bottle and the bulb squeezed twice, the number of drops in the pipette for most given tinctures will be approximately 30 drops.
Note: These are only averages. More viscous (thicker) tinctures will produce fewer, and bigger, drops.
Teaspoons: There are approximately 120 drops in 1 teaspoon (approximately 4 droppersful).

Chinese Cat's Claw tincture
I am using Chinese cat’s claw because Stephen Buhnner recommends it for remyelination of neurons. He says it is absolutely essential for treating Lyme disease symptoms of neuro-borreliosis. I believe the Chinese cat’s claw has given me some improvement in thought clarity. My plan is to continue to use it at 60 drops 3 times per day.
