Sage Consulting & Apothecary offers holistic health consultations and herbal supplements to the men and women of our community as well as all over the world. At the heart of our practice is our huge herbal pharmacy and our unique line of over 100 herbal formulas created by Clinical Herbalist, Valerie Blankenship, with over 28 years experience as an herbal clinician, formulator, medicine maker and educator.

Students learn herb identification, gardening, harvesting, processing as part of the Sage Herbal Foundation Program, which has been offered annually since 2008.

We offer superior quality, organically grown and ethically wild harvested herbs, which are sold in bulk and used in our custom line of over 100 tinctures, capped formulas and teas. To ensure the highest level of potency in our extracts and capped preparations, herbs are freshly ground from whole or slices, and prepared onsite using good manufacturing practices. A few of our tinctures through several regional manufacturing facilities, which are both F.D.A. Registered and inspected.

All Sage Consulting & Apothecary’s herbs are ethically and ecologically wild harvested, organically grown by independent farmers, or selectively imported under strict standards. They are custom picked at the peak of their season by skilled herbalists to assure premium quality. Much time and expense goes into sourcing and purchasing only the freshest and most vital raw materials. Our herbs are never fumigated or irradiated.

Our fresh plant extracts are macerated within 48 hours from harvest while the dry plant extracts are ground immediately before extraction and are prepared through the laborious cold drip percolation method, all to exacting standards to maximize potency. Alcohol and water are used to extract the most difficult to digest biochemical compounds. Ratios of herb-to-menstruum are calculated depending the constituents and solubility contained in the herb. We use only Organic Cane alcohol, ultra filtered water, and glycerine in our tinctures. We use no fillers or flowing agents in our capsules, only the herb listed is inside.
