Frankincense is a tree resin that has been used since biblical times as a natural incense. In order to burn it to release its essential oils and resin perfume, it must be slowly melted on a hot charcoal. Just a few pieces of resin is all you need to release this ancient, holy perfume.
Like Boswellia serrata, to which it is related, Frankincense may be used in capsules, tincture or a tea form for its anti-inflammatory effects on the musculoskeletal system.
Boswellia carterii, olibanum or sacra resin. 16 oz whole tears. The standardized name for these species of Boswellia is Frankincense.
