NOTE: THIS IS NOT AN HERBAL TEA. This is a traditional powdered herb blend for external applications to treat wounds. A poultice made with this formula helps kill and draw out infection through it's antimicrobial and astringent properties. It is soothing and anti-inflammatory and an effective wound healer. Contains: comfrey root, goldenseal root, slippery elm, yarrow, and white oak bark.
To prepare: Mix 1 teaspoon with a little filtered water to form paste. Spread on a 4x4 or other clean bandage and apply immediately on wounds or boils to draw out infections. IMPORTANT: Cover with plastic wrap to keep moist. (Without this step it will not work!) Follow this with an ace bandage, wrapped loosely to hold in place. Leave in place for 2 hours or even overnight.
If there is no infection present and no puncture wound, a simple Comfrey root poultice may be prepared in the same way using Comfrey root powder.
